Brett was drafted in 2007 by the Rochester Rattlers and wasted no time making an impact in the MLL. In his rookie season Brett was 7-0, primarily used as a second half spark plug, playing on a team comprised of future lacrosse Hall of Fame players and helped his hometown team win their first and only MLL World Championship.
The following season Rochester moved to the majestic city of Toronto, and played at world class BMO stadium. The Toronto Nationals wasted little time and won the MLL World Championship in their first season. Brett sustained an injury in warm-ups prior to the semi-finals, but he persevered and played in the championship game with a broken hand, leading the team to a world championship!
The next season Toronto relocated yet again, however the mainstay has been Brett in net. Brett is the Nationals franchise leader in every statistical goalie category and led the team back the MLL Finals in 2011.

Brett graduated from Penn Yan Academy in 2003 as the all time leader in saves, ground balls, save percentage, shutouts, wins, and minutes played for a goaltender. In 2001 along with brother, Brice and father, Harry (head coach) won the New York State Championship.
